TRIZ is a Russian-language acronym that translates into English
as "Theory of Inventive Problem Solving." The techniques were invented by Genrich Altshuller (1926-1998) to promote creativity and innovation. TRIZ explains the shape of the S-curve that represents system development, growth, maturity, and decline. Use TRIZ to drive innovation: 1. Leverage "profound knowledge" to solve challenging business, engineering and scientific problems. 2. Apply Standard Solutions and Separation Principles to resolve design conflicts. 3. Apply Patterns of Evolution to anticipate system improvement or failure. BrainWave integrated TRIZ and ARIZ ("Algorithm for Inventive Problem Solving") with systems engineering and other analytic tools and techniques to create the DRIVE process and the BrainWave Framework for Performance Improvement. |
